Make Travel with Baby Easier!

Toddlers & Trains; Cedar Rock Railroad Review

Hidden inside Williamson County Park is a shady station where you can board the train that takes you via rail around the sports fields, waving parkgoers, and even through a seasonally decorated "tunnel." This is Cedar Rock Railroad.

For a mom looking for an easy outdoor venue for her train-loving toddler's birthday party, I couldn't have asked for a better option! Easy location, great communication while booking the picnic tables and private train ride, and fun for all ages on the day of!

I wrote all about the planning & decorations for my LO's third birthday party, so you can check that out here.

Things to Do at Cedar Rock Railroad

The Cedar Rock Railway Train ride is a 15-minute excursion that only costs $3.50 per ticket; and under 1 is free and pets are welcome

Imagine Railroad playscape is a train-shaped wooden structure perfect for littles to climb and "drive" while you hang out on a bench on the sidelines

Picnic at any of their numerous shaded picnic tables -- or reserve a pad of 6 tables for your own party or gathering

The Great Locomotive Chace was a hit with the littles at our party, but only 4 could go at a time on the track.

You can purchase ride tickets, snacks, drinks and souvenirs at the Shady Oak Junction
